A charity ladies night being held on Friday 5th June hopes to raise much needed funds and awareness of Pre-eclampsia.
Local resident Catherine Oakley who’s sister is holding the event had to use this facility a few months ago when she gave birth to a son in January who was born 10 weeks premature due to Pre-eclampsia. He was rushed to Alder Hey for a life saving bowel operation where he spent many weeks. He is still undergoing treatment and will need future operations.
The event is to be held at 25 Charles Street, Golborne at 7.30pm. It’s in aid of The Ronald McDonald House at Alder Hey Children’s hospital.
The House is completely dependant on donations and gets no government funding and thousands of families use this house every year to be close to their sick children and it’s completely free of charge.
