Golborne & District (E) Townswomen’s Guild

This year our National Organisation celebrates its eightieth birthday. Events have been organized both national and by our own organization.

  • So far this year we have been on several walks around Manchester
  • In June there is a visit to Quarry Bank Mill at Styal
  • There will be a national quiz held around each Federation, with the finals held in Birmingham in 2010 and Golborne are entering a team
  • On 29th June we have arranged a visit to the Organ Museum in Eccles and on 5th August an Afternoon Tea and Bring and Buy Sale in aid of our Charity

We had a letter of thanks from Mr Gillam for collecting used stamps in aid of Cancer Research.
