World Maths Day

Wednesday 4th March, 2009 saw the return of World Math Day competition.

Education and the internet combined to unite school students around the globe to set a world record by answering more than 182,455,169 questions in 48 hours.

Miss Stanley registered our pupils and promoted the event within school. All pupils participating in the event enjoyed creating their own profile and competing against pupils from all over the world – from Angola to Zimbabwe.

mathsday2Year 8 pupils, pictured here, really enjoyed World Maths Day. “It’s very addictive and was really very exciting, I just wanted to shout the answers at the screen”
