A man has denied wounding another man in Golborne.

Anthony Cragg, 22, of Froghall Lane, Orford, Warrington, pleaded not guilty to wounding Craig Higgins with intent.

He also denied a lesser alternative charge of wounding and possessing a knife in Law Street, Golborne. The offences allegedly occurred on September 13 last year.

He was remanded on bail until June 27.
