In a blast from the past an ancient bridge was revealed in Tanners Lane, Golborne, during road works in mid December 2008. Peter Franzen continues… The structure was exposed by United Utilities workers during routine water pipe replacement works. The annual Carol Service which took place on Thursday 27th November was, yet again, a resounding success.
